Wine estate in the Beaujolais, the Domaine de la Chaize was formed from the seventeenth century. The castle and its common, harmonious proportions, are a mix of decorative ostentation, simplicity in architectural forms and a pronounced taste for staging in the landscape. The Domaine de la Chaize is one of the most beautiful ensembles in the region.
Its new owner wanted to make realize a master plan encompassing the whole area : the wine castle, its dependencies, its garden of pleasure, its vegetable garden, the vines, the forest domain.
This is a prerequisite for the restoration of the winery, the château and the outbuildings as well as for the rehabilitation with a view to increasing the wine-making activity and the development of new activities on the estate.
